What would you change about Gran Turismo 5?

Better support for Fanatec and G25/27 wheels

It's baffling that there isn't better, outright support for these well respected wheels/pedals/shifters.

Better support for the G25/G27 definitely needed. Choice for the buttons is nice, but being stuck with 900 degree lock is terrible and actually makes GT5 even WORSE with the G27! Before the update the lock was just right, now you're feeding it through even on quick corners, while slow corners are a total nightmare.

Definitely need to be able to adjust the steering lock before they can say the G27 is supported!

fanatec is full supported, but no officially. Set on 900° and play, buttons layout can be changed in "driving force gt"

Have a Fanatec that still non supported by GT5. That's really incredible !!!!

I would have to agree with almost all I have read. Such a great wheel with so little support. I don't people are asking for to much. Force feedback adjustment is there and also power assist. Would be nice to adjust the power assist level and also the rotation/degree value on the wheel/s from 90 to 900 in 10 degree increments. Would help people in adjusting the wheel to there likings. Hopefully this would not be to hard to implement. Thanks heaps pd

Looks like i predicted this one ^_^.
i said i'd give them before the end of the year to come up with support for the g27.
to bad i nearly had to wait a year for it since then been playing with the standard controller, shame really.
im curious how the wheel behaves when i put the spec 2.0 update on the ps3 and drive around with the wheel.

        G27 official support, finally ^_^
        Sorry for Fanatec users :(

@racskogabor same here, bought the wheel and a wheelstand pro for like €450,- and didnt play GT5 at all with it.
It just doesnt work the way a wheel should behave/work its as simple as that.
luckily i like racing games so i bought dirt 3 and soon im buying f1 2011 for the ps3,then at least i have some race games that work proper/correct with the g27.dirt3 works like a charm i can set every button and most important i can change the deadzone on the wheel and pedals like every other race game should have standard in their menu.kaz or PD could learn a thing or two from other developers how it is done the right way.

Lack of support. I cannot customize the buttons. G27 is ann expensive wheel. It should be among the others in the menu.

With G27 it does not work.

I bought the wheel to use only the wheel when I am driving. I do not want to use anything else to play.

Be more specific about the problems. I have G25, no problems. I can customize the buttons, and control the force feedback. I can use the pedals, including clutch, stick shift, and paddle shift.

Use the "Driving Force Pro" wheel selection, then you can map the buttons however you like.

Also, use a sixaxis too. Set the sixaxis as controller 1, wheel as controller 2. Then you can switch between the two seamlessly. I use the sixaxis to do everything but drive, and the wheel just plain works when it's time to drive.

Dear namregzepol, the simple answer is because the game is not a real simulator. Only the name says it is real. There are several mistakes, which are also unreal, but this game is stil best on the market. I expected also something better but that is what you get for your money. Kaz anyway an average driver and even to old now to be on the edge. And now they have problems with the nuclear plants in Japan so I do not expect real changes soon.
The only thing we can do now to keep live this topic, get more and more voters and hope. But to be honest PD does not give a **** what wheel you have got. You have already payed and only that matters.
